One day excursion to Kandy

(Elephant Orphanage- feeding & bathing times, Spice garden, Tea Plantation, Temple of tooth, Botanical garden)

You will be greeted by Triplanka Tours local driver and thereafter the first stop for the day Would be the famous Elephant orphanage in Pinnawala.

(It is a 25 acre coconut property that is Conservation camp for Sri Lankan elephants. Here you will witness baby elephants being fed by a Feeding bottle as soon as you enter. This is a lovely site for tourists. This elephant orphanage Also houses the crippled elephants that can’t take care of themselves. Special mahouts are Trained to take care of these ‘gentle giants’ who are sometimes orphaned. This orphanage was Started in 1975 and has birthed over 20 new-born calves in its premises. Some elephants even Have had the opportunity to witness their own grand children being born in the past few decades.Witness as these beautiful creatures are fed at 9.15am, 12.15pm & 5.00pm, or when they are Bathed – twice a day at 10.00am and 02.00pm respectively. This is an experience that is sure to Leave you mesmerized for a life time! )

Once you have toured the elephant orphanage, on the way visit spice and herbal garden.

After visit a tea plantation and a tea factory, where the best tea in the world is produced. You could observe all about the process of manufacturing tea.

Upon arrival in Kandy, Visit Peradeniya Botanical Garden (Royal Botanical Garden, Peradeniya is one of the best botanical gardens in Sri Lanka, and one of the most beautiful in Asia.

Afterwards, your guide will pick you up and take you on an exciting city tour. First, visit the Temple of the Tooth, a sacred site believed to house a tooth relic of the Buddha.

Galle, 119km from Colombo, is a major city situated at the tip of the South Western coast of Sri Lanka. Being a coastal area, it is quite hot and humid but has an abundance of beautiful beaches in every town that you pass while travelling from Colombo to Galle.

Experience the colorful colonial city of Galle on this 12-hour day tour. Visit turtle Hatchery, Bentota Beach, Tsunami Photo Museum, and the stilt fishermen.

One day Safari to Udawalawa National Park

Afternoon safari at 3 PM to 6 PM in Udawalawe National Park to see Asian Elephants in their natural habitat and not to forget the other species such as Crocodiles, Spotted Deer and many verities of birds.

One day excursion to Sigiriya and Dambulla

Today, Sigiriya and Dambulla are a UNESCO recognized heritage site and a major tourist attraction.

Tour this ancient rock fortress, sometimes referred to as the “eighth wonder of the world.” Sigiriya is renowned for its amazing frescoes and a polished rock face that reflects like a mirror.

Then transfer to Dambulla to tour the Cave Temples.

Enjoy the scenic four hour drive to your destination, explore the two cities, and be back to Hotel by midnight.

One day excursion to White Water Rafting and

Leave from your hotel and you will be greeted by Triplanka Tours local driver and thereafter drive to Kitulgala, Kitulgala is a small town in the west of Sri Lanka. Kitulgala is also a base for white-water rafting, which starts a few kilometers upstream.

Arrive at the place and meet your rafting guide. Then change your clothes and get ready with gear, helmets and life jackets. Start the rafting session after the briefing about river and safety instructions. White water rafting in Kelani river dose not requires higher degree of rafting skills or swimming experience, even for the people who are experimenting it for the first time, families and small groups can go for a thrilling ride down the Kelani River.

Collect all your valuables and leave to your next destination of “The Bridge on the River Kwai”.

The Academy Award-winning “The Bridge on the River Kwai” was filmed on the Kelani River near Kitulgala, although nothing remains now except the concrete foundations for the bridge (and, supposedly, the submerged train cars that plunged into the river in the climactic scene).
